The music (and the imaginary game it is for) depict two radically different worlds, connected by an additional border world.

The "Light" world is a seemingly happy and innocent place, but nonetheless hides something sinister beneath its façade, and it is up to the player to uncover the truth.

The "Penumbra" world is a bridge between the two main dimensions. Countless objects, spirits, and thoughts constantly travel between Light and Dark in this abstract space where time goes back and forth and space is inside-out.

The "Dark" world is a cursed universe filled with tormented souls and endless suffering. It was not always like this, it seems to have been corrupted by something, something from the Light world that once invaded this space... But however bleak this place may seem, if you search hard enough, you can still find moments of true beauty, buried under the mountains of pain.
